Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPR) see, read, record and compare vehicle license plates against database(s) installed in the ALPR processor and displayed on the vehicles Laptop/MDT. G2Tactics ALPR incorporates a form of machine vision integrated with advanced software algorithms which locate vehicle license plates and read the characters off the license plate. The G2Tactics Plate readers perform this function at roadway speeds automatically without operator attention or actions, in all weather, day or night..
The G2Tactics ALPR accomplishes what no human can do; read and lookup almost every license plate on every vehicle within its field of view at combined approach speeds of 120 mph or more, day or night, heavy or light traffic.
The base G2Tactics ALPR system consists of two cameras (color camera and infrared camera), IR illuminator, processor and user provided display computer such as a windows based laptop or MDT.

The G2Tactics PlateFinder portable mobile ALPR system
The G2Tactics ALPR may be used in any vehicle with a quick setup of under 2 minutes; unlike most ALPRs the G2Tactics ALPR is truly portable. Our system does not require it be permanently installed in the vehicle like mobile radios as most manufacturers of ALPRs require. Our system is designed to be installed or removed from a vehicle in less then two minutes!
Our ALPR does not require dedicated ALPR client software on mobile data terminal (MDT) or laptop! Other suppliers of ALPRs systems require costly client software licenses for each terminal with the software installed. Our system's window displays on a web page using a web server built into the system's processor. The software needed to display the results of the G2Tactics ALPR reads is already on the MS windows laptop or MDT as the internet browser installed with MS windows. The use web display software allows our system to be used with any MS windows computer, any time. Our ALPR system is extremely versatile because the displays of reads is presented as a web site allowing great flexibility in installation such as the use of platforms instead of a Personal Computer (PC) such as a pocket PC PDA and some other portable devices that can present web pages.

G2Tactics fixed site ALPR systems
When ALPRs were first developed, they were fixed site systems. Fixed ALPR sites are deployed at toll barriers, components of access control systems, at schools or colleges, industrial sites, at entrances to parking lots or garages and any other area where the recording of vehicle license plates is necessary for security or access control. Fixed site systems may also be incorporated into CCTV systems designs and integrated in security system designs as another sensor. The design and installation of fixed site ALPR systems have many options for recovery of data including but are not limited to IP, fiber optic, cable, microwave, radio, satellite, cell, onsite storage etc.. The G2Tactics system is very flexible. Our G2Tactics system engineers will assist project designers with small or large system configurations.
