Mobile Automatic License Plate Reading systems - ALPR
G2Tactics manufactures and markets ALPR systems for Police, Government and Security applications. Common applications include law enforcement, Homeland Defense applications stolen vehicle recovery, municipality parking enforcement and tax enforcement.
PlateFinderTM is the portable ALPR system G2Tactics offers to Law Enforcement.
The PlateFinderTM ALPR system operates automatically and allows the operator to concentrate normal duties, audibly notifying upon a "hit" to the database with popup data of the plate read on the laptop or MDT.
All G2Tactics ALPR PlateFindersTM, unlike many other suppliers of ALPR systems, are truly portable and include the infrared license plate reading camera and a color overview camera that records the vehicle allowing identification of color and make and model. Color is vital for the officer when a stop must be made after a "hit" against the database. (All ALPR data "hit" should be confirmed with dispatch or with the MDT if installed prior to a vehicle stop)
The G2Tactics Plate Finder may also be used as a hand held ALPR. This configuration is useful at vehicle roadblocks and in commercial vehicle enforcement work where vehicles are widely scattered and not in orderly lines such as traffic lanes.
The mobile PlateFinderTM system maybe installed or removed from a vehicle in less then two minutes.
The PlateFinderTM works on any Microsoft Windows mobile data terminal (MDT) or laptop having internet browser software already loaded. Examples of compatible programs are Microsoft Explorer, Netscape or FireFox. No platereader client software is required on the MDT or laptop. The lack of client software on the MDT/Laptop allows quick transfer of the ALPR between vehicles.
The G2Tactics PlateFinderTM reads license plates and check reads against a "Vehicle of Interest" database such as a (NCIC stolen/wanted file)
The G2Tactics PlateFinderTM will read the license plates of both moving and parked vehicles. The PlateFinderTM will, with high reliability, read plates of other vehicles at closing speeds exceeding 120 mph day or night.
PlateFinderTM and BootFinderTM allow simultaneous access to multiple databases, enabling law enforcement officers, parking enforcement officers, or tow truck operators to perform multiple searches during the course of their primary mission. Key characteristics of the PlateFinderTM and BootFinderTM are:
